PRIVACY // POLICY
RideStream is designed to be 100% local and private. This policy explains what data we collect — and more importantly, what we don't.
RideStream does not collect usage statistics, crash reports, or analytics. The app never phones home.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, device identifiers, or location data.
RideStream has no user accounts, no registration, and no cloud sync. Everything stays on your device.
The app accesses your audio and video files only with your explicit permission. Files are processed locally and never leave your device unless you actively stream them over your local network.
When you enable streaming, RideStream starts a local HTTP server on your device. Other devices on the same LAN can browse and play media you choose to share. The connection is local only — no data goes through the internet.
License verification requires a brief connection to the Google Play Store to process the in-app purchase. No purchase data, device info, or media metadata is transmitted to us.
RideStream uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external dependency is the Google Play Store for in-app purchase processing.
The Android Internet permission is used exclusively for Wi-Fi streaming (local network) and license verification. RideStream does not contact any remote server for any other purpose.
All app data — playlists, metadata, and settings — is stored locally in SQLite on your device. We have no access to this data and cannot recover it.
Uninstalling RideStream removes all app data from your device. Media files stored on your device are unaffected.
This policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page. Since RideStream does not collect your data, no notification is necessary or possible.
